WHO AM I

Conceptual art by Ivan Hansen

From the author

In my canvases I seek to demonstrate real emotions from a real life going against the grain of this contemporary virtual reality of synthetic emotions. I paint connections, human movements. I paint life. I paint compositions that represent man's power to transform his natural habitat and social environment. I paint his ability to adapt, to reconnect, to reinvent himself. I paint the dynamics of coexisting and feeling like we belong. I paint freedom recognized as a universal right of insertion, our dignified and fair insertion into new realities. I paint the joints, the creative maneuvers, the extraordinary inventions led by man. Over the head of a central figure I paint messages. My intention is to demonstrate that everything begins and ends in the head. All projects, all conclusions. Doubts and certainties begin and end in the head. The truth is that we are walking heads mediating daily duels between good and evil, between right and wrong, between pain and pleasure. Therefore, using the brush and paints, I search for human reconnection in times of so many facilitated connections. My inspiration is man, humanity and its voluntary, involuntary and accidental movements.
